Curious cove

Curious cove!!

The funniest moment on camp:
My  funniest moment on camp was when Chanel, Luka , Ariana, Chantelle and I were sitting at the front of tony's boat on the back from ship cove and it was really quiet then all of a sudden Ariana started singing the little einsteins theme song. Then we all started laughing and Ariana didn't know what we were laughing at.

The biggest challenge on camp was:
The biggest challenge on camp for me was going up Mount Kahikatea not because it was hard it was because my ankle and knee was very sore so therefor I found it extra hard to get up mount kahikatea. It was still a bit hard to get down because I kept slipping

The scariest moment on camp:
My scariest moment on camp on camp was coming across a couple of people who got stung by wasps and the first thing that come to mind was I really hope that I don’t get stung. My other scary moment was when I walked around a corner and the pig was there and It ran past me really fast.

The most exhausting thing on camp:
My most exhausting thing on camp was Mount Kahikatea because it was kinda steep but it took our group about an hour and we were walking up really fast so it was really tiring, then when I was coming down I was in one of the first groups down so we were walking way faster.

The  most embarrassing moment on camp:
My most embarrassing moment on camp was when we were going fishing on the boat and I got my line tangled really badly so I couldn't do any fishing. My other embarrassing moment was when I got an award because I didn't like having to stand up in front of everyone.

The most dangerous moment was:
My most dangerous moment on camp was when we got to the top of Mount Kahikatea and I got really close to the edge of the lookout.  My other dangerous moment on camp was when we were kayaking and I was above and eagle ray then I nearly fell out of my kayak.

Hemi Matenga

The tramp up Hemi Matenga was really fun even though my shoes were not the best because they had no grip and I slipped over a lot. It was easy at the start but as we got further up the track it got steeper and harder. I think the walk was a good practice for Mount Kahatia.

There was one part of the tramp I didn't like because it was really muddy and there was lots of puddles of water that were hard to get past without getting your shoes muddy or full of water.

For Mount Kahatia i'm definitely gonna get better shoes to climb up with because my nikes were not good and I slipped all the time. The lesson I learned is not to walk so fast down hill and to look where i'm walking because otherwise I trip or slip.

My group wasn't really supportive of anyone because everyone did good going up and down the hill and we didn't really stop at all, I think everyone in my group was fit because we were 1st up and about 3rd down.

Overall It was a really fun experience and I would like to do it again, I can't wait you climb Mount Kahatai  because the view looks nice and I think it will be fun to do, My group worked together nicely and no one ran ahead or got told off, Our group leader Adam was cool and he showed me some tricks to stop myself from slipping so much.

Curious cove camp 2017

I'm excited for camp because I've never been to the south island and I think it's a good opportunity to do things I've never done like going on the ferry and staying somewhere so far away from my family.

My fear about camp is the swimming although I think it's fun I don't really like swimming around people. Im also worried about if it rains because then we might not be able to do some of the activities that we were going to do.

Even though I have fears I know i'll be able to bypass them because camp is going to be very fun and I won't be thinking about them when we get down to the camp.

Mrs Nutting

Mrs Nutting, what words to describe her part from Helping, Nice, Creative and wonderful there is so much more words to describe her. We all wish she was still here today.
1991 - 2016 - This was the time that Mrs Nutting was at Kapanui School.

She had passed away on the 1st of October Saturday. She was nice and genuine and she was such a great help to those in need. I remember my first memories with Mrs Nutting helping me pick a book out and helped me on the computers on how to search up a book when I didn't know how. I loved how she read us a book before searching for our own books and put books out for us to choose. And if I ever forgot my uniforms she would always make sure I would bring it back she didn’t yell at me or anything she was so kind with understanding why I didn’t bring it in and when I brought it in she didn’t say like “ it took you long enough “ and stuff like that. Instead she said “ Thank you Caitlyn “

She was one of the nicest people I met. She did a great job running the library and she would tell us to be quiet when she needed quiet or the library needed quiet time. She was such a caring and kind person, She had such an unexpected death that everyone was shocked by, the saddest thing of all is that she was going to visit her daughter. Everyone's prayers are with her family. Mrs Nutting will always be remembered at Kapanui school.

If I could meet anyone in the world (living or dead) who would you meet

I have a lot a people I would like to met but one of my first people i would like to meet is my third cousin Mark Todd because I would like to know how heavy the gold medals are and what it's like to be voted horse rider of the 20th century. I would like to meet his horses and his kids I would ask them what it's like to grow up around horses and other famous horse riders.

Another person I would like to meet is Zach Clayton because I love his youtube videos I find them really funny on both his youtube channels bruhitszach and our journey (one shared one his own) if I meet him I would ask him if he ever gets sick of being famous and how being big on younow and youtube

Another person I would like to meet and that is Julian Dennison because his movie hunt for the wilder people is really funny and he lives in NaeNae lower hutt which is kinda close to the kapiti coast but if I met him I would ask what was it like to be in a well known movie and what it was like to shot the movie.

I have a lot of people that I would like to meet but these are the people I would like to meet the most because they are my few favorite people,  they are really hilarious and seem like great people to meet and get to know.

If you could go back in time what era would you visit and why?

I would go back to 2000 because I think it would be cool to see my brother and family grow up, I would like to see how people's lifestyles where and what they wore and what kind of tvs shows they had. I would like to see a lot of the places had looked like that have been updated or fixed and how over the years the new zealand changed.

I would like to see what my brothers friends that are still friends with him till this day and how they looked like and how they acted around each other (probably still the same like 5 year olds). I feel like it would be cool to see what's changed and how things changed around the places my family grew up I would get to see my family move from Palmerston north to pukerua bay.

I would also like to go back to 1980 because that was when my mum was born and it would be cool to see how she grew up and what routines she had when she was a kid and how my nana and granddad helped her grow up I would like to see my mum play softball and see how good she was.

I know I probably sound like a creep but I think it would be fun to see this stuff happen and see how things were back then and what kind of stuff they did also what kind of games they played it would be a good experience to see my family grow up

Humans greatest invention

I think music is the humans greatest invention because without music car rides would be boring, walking would be boring and everything that you do that can involve music would be boring.

Without music lots more people could get depressed and sad for a very short amount of time in the day because in my opinion music calms people down when they're upset or having a bad day. Also just listening to the right songs at the right time can make you realize things you didn't before.

Music can change the world because it can change people. that is one of my many favorite quotes about music. I think that quote is true to me because I know a lot of people and after they started listening to music they are a way better and different person than before they started listening to music.

Music is the best thing that I could of ever discovered because without it I don't know what kind of person I would be today and what people around me would be today.Music is a great invention because you can listen to it for your enjoyment, if you're upset, if you're working out, studying, doing work and lots more.

Music has many great purposes as it has had an amazing impact on my life because without music in my life I don't think I would be able to speak my mind as much. Music gives me confidence and listening to it makes me happy.
